international dishes to celebrate World Food Day and raise money for charity
Celtic Manor staff dug deep to raise funds for charity as chefs laid on extra international dishes to celebrate World Food Day on Wednesday 16th October.
The staff canteen – known as Junction 24 – served Beef and Vegetable Madras curries and Pork Goulash in addition to its normal menu and the chefs decided to ask diners to donate to Action Aid with the incentive: Small Change Makes a Big Difference.
World Food Day is celebrated every year around the world on 16 October in honour of the date of the founding of the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations in 1945.
World Food Day is the latest special menu created by Junction 24 which this summer celebrated the Lions rugby tour with a summer festival of British, Irish and Australian food. Next up … Hallowe'en!
