The Celtic Manor Resort will sponsor the popular food theatre at this weekend's Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival. Resort chefs will showcase their skills and some of the menu offerings at Celtic Manor’s six restaurants during the event in Cardiff Bay from July 12-14.
The Cardiff International Food and Drink festival has become one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the South Wales calendar and offers a mouth-watering free day out for all the family. Celtic Manor Resort Culinary Director Peter Fuchs said:
We are delighted to be sponsoring the Food Theatre at the Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival this summer. The festival has grown into one of South Wales’ biggest events and our chefs are looking forward to demonstrating what Celtic Manor has to offer and sampling the huge variety of produce on offer.
Four resort chefs will be demonstrating their expertise at the festival. Terry M head chef Tim McDougall will show a signature dish from his fine-dining menu, Newbridge chef Gavin McDonagh will prepare a seasonal fish course from his riverside kitchen, Lodge Brasserie Chef Stuart Spicer will give a Taste of Wales, and executive pastry chef Karl Jones-Hughes will demonstrate how to create a dessert two ways.
The Cardiff International Food and Drink Festival is part of Cardiff Festival, which runs until September 7th. Other highlights of this year’s Cardiff Festival include the Cardiff Bay Beach which will be based at Roald Dahl Plass from July 27, the Welsh Proms, Cardiff Carnival and on August Bank Holiday weekend the Harbour Festival welcomes back the Extreme Sailing Series.
