Desperate Housewives star Jesse Metcalfe will make a special guest appearance at the Celebrity Cup at the Celtic Manor Resort next week.
Metcalfe, who won the hearts of a legion of female fans in the role of hunky pool boy John Rowland in Desperate Housewives and as Christopher Ewing in Dallas, will take part in a special skills challenge at the golf lifestyle event from July 4-6.
He will join Desperate Housewives co-star Dougray Scott, who tees up for Scotland in the tournament against celebrities from England, Ireland and Wales.
Other Hollywood actors taking part include Welshman Andrew Howard, who starred alongside Bradley Cooper in Limitless, and Matthew Goode, who was on our screens over Christmas in Death Comes to Pemberley and is currently starring in prime-time US legal drama The Good Wife.
Other celebrities already announced for the tournament include comic, actor and TV host Rob Brydon, Mrs Brown’s Boys’ Brendan O’Carroll, Irish singing superstars Keith Duffy, Ronan Keating and Brian McFadden, Dragons’ Den entrepreneur Peter Jones, model Jodie Kidd, actors Bradley Walsh and Philip Glenister, cricketer Graeme Swann and TV presenter Gethin Jones.
Three-time Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher will be mentoring the celebrities before the matches and guiding stars like Metcalfe through the special skills challenges between games.
The event promises a full family day out with an interactive retail village including live entertainment and a Kids Zone and the opportunity to get up close to watch the celebrities in action.
