The Celtic Manor Resort will add a sprinkle of sparkle to the festive season with the return of its magical Christmas Kingdom.
The winter attraction from November 29th will see the five-star resort’s Rooftop Garden transformed into a frosty delight complete with Santa’s Grotto and an Ice Rink, sponsored this year by Gocompare.com
Day visitors and hotel guests will be able to glide across the ice and watch their children’s faces light up as they visit Santa in his grotto to tell him all their Christmas wishes and see his special reindeer.
More than 30,000 people enjoyed a Christmas Kingdom experience to remember during its first year of opening last year and the attraction promises to be even more fabulous this festive season. With Jack Frost about, visitors can keep out the chill with a steaming hot chocolate and winter warming treats including Christmas spiced popcorn and mince pies.
Celtic Manor Head of Special Events Alan Evans said:
We were overwhelmed by the response to our first ever Christmas Kingdom last year. It was a really popular addition to what is always a special time of the year here at the resort.
The attraction is going to be even bigger and better this year with a revamped Santa’s Grotto, a shuttle bus from the car park and other improvements to the whole experience. We look forward to seeing many more faces light up as they get into the festive spirit and feel the true magic of Christmas here at Celtic Manor.
Ice skating starts from £8 for adults, and £5 for children, for 45 minutes of fun on the rink. Santa’s Grotto starts from £8 per child and includes a gift and meeting the reindeer.
Santa’s Grotto will be open every day from 11am-7pm from December 2nd-24th. The Gocompare.com Ice Rink will be open from 5pm-8pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings and all day from 10am-7pm at weekends until December 22nd, and then all day every day during the school holidays until January 5th (excluding Christmas Day).
